According to Wikipedia, "Minnesota nice" is the stereotypical behaviour of people born and raised in Minnesota to be courteous, reserved and mild mannered. I can't say I've experienced an awful lot of it, so far I've only really spoken to the people that run the hostel and they're both pretty surly!
Altogether though I really like Minneapolis as a city. It seems very civilised and clean. Actually, I wonder whether "nice" is the word...
I've spent the day doing not a lot and writing postcards. This morning I went to the Sculpture Garden and saw the (apparently) famous spoon and cherry sculpture:
I also saw some other cool things there:
Juicy Lucy
I sampled the famous Juicy Lucy burger at 5-8 (featured on Man v Food!!) It's a burger with cheese IN the beef. Crazy, I know.
Lake Harriett
After lunch I thought I'd go for a walk a round Lake Harriet (one of the many many lakes in Minnesota) I got there and parked up and thought "oh, I'll just sit here for a minute" I woke up two hours later, pretty confused but very relaxed. I am going to try to walk around it tomorrow instead, before I head to Milwaukee.
