Day 8 - San Jose

Oh. My. God. Where do I start? Today was incredible.

I did another of those things I've only seen in movies and always wanted to do. I know some of you won't believe this without proof so here it is:

Loved it loved it loved it. This is my fake uncle by the way. He taught me all about being careful with guns and all about not shooting him by mistake. He also taught me that in the US all trousers are pants but not all pants are trousers, in the same way that all ladies are women but not all women are ladies. Glad I got that cleared up.

On the way home my fousin Baron took me for a spin in this super rare car (one of 117 ever made!)

This afternoon we went to a proper Southern fish fry (in California, yeah) Some friends' parents were in town from Mississippi and they deep fried loads of catfish and hush puppies. I even drank sweet iced tea in a Mason jar:

While I was sipping my iced tea Drea mentioned something I'd written in my blog about keys between knuckles so the lady next to us (Julie) says "Oh, keys are no good, I'll give you my keyring":

"Cute!" I think. Then she shows me how to hold it:

Now, I don't want anyone to think I've turned from being quite a peaceful lady to a gun-toting, kitty-stabbing kinda chick but hey, all I'm sayin' is don't mess with me!!

Tomorrow I'm gong to San Francisco which I am happy about but it means leaving San Jose so I'm also a little sad.

  1. Awesome! I was in hysterics at your photos, did not expect them. You look like you've been a hot gun toting kitty since knee high to a grass hopper! I'm still laughing...they were some crazy guns. Xxx hope your jet lag eases.xxXFrom CAT.x
